How do I change the encryption password for recordings held locally on a device?

This article details how to change the encryption password in the device's settings.

Updated over a week ago

You must be logged in as an Administrator or Group manager to manage device settings!

Changing the encryption password will invalidate any existing recordings on the device.

Steps to configure

  1. Click the Devices link in the navigation bar.

  2. Find the device you are looking for either by searching or using the paging functionality.

  3. Click on the Settings button for the device:

  4. Click on the Recording sub-navigation link:

  5. Navigate down the page, and click the Advanced link:

  6. Navigate to the Recording settings section and click the Change button to the right of the "Encryption password":

  7. Complete the form that appears with your new password and click Save:
