How do I change the device timezone?

The correct timezone is important if you want to ensure notifications, live streams and historical recordings are time-stamped correctly.

We are aware that some users wish to restrict how long recordings are kept on their local encoding devices for GDPR purposes. To enable this we have a control that configures this.

You must be logged in as an Administrator or Group manager to manage device settings!

Steps to configure

  1. Click the Devices link in the navigation bar.

  2. Find the device you are looking for either by searching or using the paging functionality.

  3. Click on the Settings button for the device:

  4. Click on the Configure sub-navigation link:

  5. Navigate to the Location section and click the Change button to the right of the "Timezone" status:

  6. Complete the form that appears with your required timezone and click Save:
