How do I connect to my device's web interface?

Once local access mode is enabled this article explains how to reconfigure your device's networking settings.

Updated over a week ago

If local access mode is enabled (either manually or automatically) there are two ways you can locally connect to your device's web interface - either via Wi-Fi or LAN.

Obtaining your device's IP address and password

You'll need to know these two pieces of information before you begin:

Is your device fresh out of the box and you want to connect to configure your initial internet settings?

  • Your device's IP address:
You'll find your settings in the default network settings article.

  • Your device's local access mode password:
You'll find that on your device's label on the underside of your device

OR

Have you connected your device to the cloud service successfully before?

Now that you know your device's IP address and password you can now connect to your device.

Logging in to local access mode

There are different ways to connect to your device - pick the one that suits your needs the most:

  1. I just want to connect to my device with a direct LAN cable
You should be able to connect your PC to your device with an RJ45 cable. You'll need to set your PC's LAN port to an address on the same subnet as your device. For example, if your device's IP address is 192.168.10.1, then your PC needs to be a different 192.168.10.X address.

Then you should be able to connect to the device by opening a web browser and entering http://[ip address]/ into your address bar.

  2. My device is connected to my LAN or Wi-Fi network
As long as your PC is on the same subnet (as your device) on your local LAN/Wi-Fi network then you should be able to connect to the device by opening a web browser and entering http://[ip address]/ into your address bar.

  3. I want to connect to my device's Wi-Fi hotspot
On your PC look for a Wi-Fi hotspot with the network name [Product Name]-[Serial Number]. You'll need to enter a password - this is the password you got from the first step on this page. You do not need to configure your PC's network settings.

You should be able to connect to the device by opening a web browser and entering http://192.168.100.1/ into your address bar.

Regardless of your selected method, you should now be presented with your device's web interface, where you will need to enter the password you obtained in the first step on this page.

If successful you'll now be logged in and you can now view and configure your device's comms pages.
