What is it?

Your notification feed is curated individually to your account. It will only show you alerts, images, and video clips that are relevant to you.

The purpose of this is to enable you to spend less time staring at live videos and spend more time on the information and alerts that matter.

What can generate notifications?

  1. A motion detection analytics event from a camera attached to one of our encoding devices.

  2. A zone-crossing analytics event from a camera attached to one of our encoding devices.

  3. An acknowledgment that a device has come online for the first time, that requires to be allocated to a group.

  4. Some small device configuration notifications can occasionally be triggered too.

How to receive notifications?

To receive notifications from a device, especially around analytics, you need to be added to the same group as the encoding device.

Then notifications can be received by:

  • The notification feed

    • Accessible via our web, iOS, and Android apps.

  • E-mail

    • This must be turned on via your account settings.

  • Push notification

    • You must be running our iOS or Android apps to receive these.

(Administrators will not receive notifications for devices unless specifically added to the same group.)
