Your recordings from your devices can be held in a variety of locations, with differing levels of retention periods.
These include:
Recordings held locally on the device:
How long these are kept depends entirely on a mixture of:
Size of the storage disc.
The number of cameras attached.
Settings configured within the web app for the device.
They can be deleted by formatting the storage device.
Recordings generated by notifications:
These are kept for 30 days as standard.
They can be deleted from the menu options for the notification.
Manual cloud backup requests:
These are currently kept indefinitely.
They can be deleted from the cloud backups page of the device it was uploaded from.
