How do I change the quality preference when bandwidth is restricted?

You can tell the device if you would prefer a higher frame rate, or if you wish to have higher-quality images.

Steps

  1. Open the application.

  2. Navigate to the Devices page.

  3. Click on the Device that you would like to use and click on the View button located to the bottom right of the screen.

  4. To adjust the resolution or frame rate click on the Profile button located at the top of the screen next to the Action and settings buttons. On the mobile app it is marked as the dial symbol. The default setting will be set as automatic, and this will choose an FPS and a resolution setting that will work under low bandwidth availability and slow internet speeds to avoid buffering and blurry images. The typical (FPS) with a fixed internet connection will be between 8.0 and 9.0.

  5. If you would like to increase the FPS, then choose the Best frame rate option and this will increase the maximum frame rate to 25.0 FPS. It will drop below this if needed depending on bandwidth availability and internet speed conditions.

  6. If you would like to increase the resolution, then choose the Best resolution option and this will increase the resolution to the best possible setting available. It will drop below this if needed depending on bandwidth and internet speed conditions.

Note: HD resolution and a high FPS could result in buffering if cellular network coverage is limited and no Wi-Fi or LAN connections are available.
